ABOUT US
WHAT WE DO
WHY WE DO IT

At Alliance for Young Women and Girls, we provide leadership and employability training for young women and girls from marginalized communities. Our Leadership & Employability Training prepares young women and girls for careers versus jobs - careers that lead to life-long learning and upward economic mobility.

Our Leadership & Employability Training for Women teaches participants to identify their talents, skills, and upskill to enter entry-level careers. We expose our participants to various careers. Upon completing the training, we work with companies and employers to place participants in entry-level careers of interest to them.

The Leadership & Employability Training also prepares participants
to be leaders in the spaces that they occupy - community and the workplace by focusing on personal development and growth throughout the training.

For our Leadership & Employability Training for Girls, we partner with schools and community organizations that serve marginalized communities to bring training to their location.

Young women and girls from marginalized communities have limited access to resources enabling them to enter into professional careers versus jobs, increasing their opportunities for economic growth. They also do not receive the same exposure to careers in science, technology, communications, engineering, medicine, banking & finance, business, logistics, arts, and education compared to their privileged peers.
